Delbanco Meyer & Company Ltd. was formed in 1936 by Kurt Delbanco and Henry Meyer. The organisation became the largest bristle merchants in the world.

 

It traded in bristle and hair till 1999, and sold these products principally to manufacturers engaged in supplying brushes to the artist, cosmetic and decorating markets.

 

In the 1980's the company expanded very successfully into the household textiles market. A became a major supplier of quilts, pillows and bedlinen. This business has now been sold.
